Your Slate · Last updated 13 September 2026
Your Slate does not have accounts, does not collect analytics, and does not send your information anywhere. What you track stays on your phone. This page explains that in full, including the few places where data does leave your device.
Everything you put into Your Slate is stored on your phone and nowhere else: the teams, movies, shows, books, authors, artists, comedians and venues you track; your reading and watching progress; your concert log; your saved events, custom events and app preferences.
There is no Your Slate account, no sign-in, and no server that holds a copy. We cannot see your data, because it is never sent to us.
You can export everything to a file at any time from Settings, and import it onto another phone. That file is yours — it goes wherever you send it, and never to us.
Your Slate gets its information — schedules, film and television details, book records, tour dates — from outside services. When the app looks something up, the request goes to that service, the same way opening their website would. That means the service can see the request, including anything you typed into a search box, along with technical details such as your IP address.

These requests carry only what is needed to answer them. They do not include your library, your saved items, or any identifier that links a request back to you or to any other request you have made. Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing what it does with the requests it receives.
Most of those requests pass through a small proxy service we operate on Cloudflare before reaching the provider. It exists so that our access keys are not shipped inside the app, and so that identical lookups can be answered from a short-lived cache instead of being repeated.
The proxy does not store your personal information and does not build any record of you. It handles requests and forwards them on. Cloudflare, as the infrastructure provider, may keep operational logs including IP addresses, as described in Cloudflare's privacy policy.
If you allow notifications, Your Slate can remind you before something you track begins. These are scheduled locally by your phone. Nothing is sent to a push server, no device token is created, and we are not involved. You can turn them off in your phone's settings at any time.
Your Slate is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone. Since the app collects nothing, there is nothing for us to hold or delete.
Because everything lives on your device, deleting the app removes all of it. There is no server-side copy to request, and no account to close. If you want to keep your data first, export it from Settings before uninstalling.
Features that would change any of the above — optional accounts and cloud backup are under consideration — will not ship without this page being updated first, and without the app making clear what is being sent and asking you to opt in. Any change will be reflected in the date at the top of this page.
